Why should I book directly on this website?
Booking direct means you're dealing with us, the motel — which gets you the best available rate, full control over your booking, and no third-party fees.
How do I guarantee my booking?
We require a credit card number and authorisation to secure your booking. No money is deducted from your card until arrival — or you can choose another payment method when you check in.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express EFTPOS and cash. We do not accept cheques unless prior arrangements have been made with management.
What is your cancellation policy?
We operate on a 48-hour cancellation and no-show policy on all rooms and rates. If you don't notify reception of your non-arrival by 1:00 pm, two days before your expected arrival date, the first night's accommodation will be charged.
What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out is by 10:00 am. Charges may apply for late check-out.
Can I check in early or check out late?
Late check-out may be available on request, with charges applying. Please ask at reception on arrival or in advance by phone.
Where do I check in?
Reception is at 730 Ruthven Street, South Toowoomba — please pull in to the on-site car park and walk to reception.
Are the rooms non-smoking?
Yes — all rooms at Riviera on Ruthven are non-smoking. We reserve the right to charge a $500 cleaning fee if smoking occurs in a room.
Do the rooms have air-conditioning?
Yes — every room is air-conditioned.
Do you have free Wi-Fi?
Yes — free Wi-Fi is available throughout the motel.
Do rooms have a TV?
Yes — every room has a TV.
Which rooms have a kitchenette?
Our Family Room with Kitchenette and Large Family Room with Kitchenette both include cooking facilities — handy for longer stays or family meals.
Is there a pool?
Yes — we have a salt-water pool for guests.
Is there a BBQ?
Yes — BBQ facilities are available for guests to use.
Do you have laundry facilities?
Yes — we have both a guest self-service laundry and a laundry service on request.
Do you have conference or meeting facilities?
Yes — conference and meeting facilities are available on-site.
Is parking free?
Yes — free parking is available on-site for all guests.
Do you allow parties or events in rooms?
No — we operate a strict no-party policy to ensure all guests have a pleasant stay. Management reserves the right to refuse accommodation and to remove guests from the property without refund.
What happens if a guest smokes in a room?
We reserve the right to charge a $500 cleaning fee. This covers cleaning, dry cleaning, airing the room out, carpet cleaning, and one or two nights when the room cannot be sold.
How do you handle my personal information?
Any personal information you provide — including your email address — is stored securely. We restrict access to staff who need it to fulfil our obligations to you, and we don't share it with third parties outside the motel or our direct contractors without your written authority, unless required by law. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988.
